A Water Bottle Holder That Actually Rides on Your Backpack Strap

Digging a bottle out of a side pocket means stopping, shrugging off your pack, and losing five minutes you wanted to spend hiking. This water bottle pouch mounts to your shoulder strap so your bottle sits right where your hand already is. Grab, drink, keep walking. It weighs 1.5 oz and it is sewn by hand in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.

It works as a backpack water bottle holder on just about any pack with a daisy chain, and for the ones without, we make an adapter. Updated for 2026 with EPLX200 ECOPAK, a flat bottom so the bottle stands up instead of flopping, and a front mesh pocket for the stuff you want one-handed.

• Smart water bottles, 750ml and 1 liter. The classic thru-hiker bottle. Fits both.
• CNOC Thrubottle. Fits.
• CNOC Nobo. Does not fit. We would rather tell you now than take your money.

Carrying a wide-mouth insulated bottle? This pouch isn't built for those. Our stretchy water bottle sleeve is the better call.

Water Bottle Pouch FAQ

Will this fit my backpack?
If your pack has a daisy chain on the shoulder strap, yes, it clips straight on. If it doesn't, grab our shoulder strap pouch adapter and it will mount to any strap. The video up top shows both.

Left side or right side?
Whichever hand you drink with. Plenty of folks run one on each strap, water on one side and a phone pouch on the other.

Does the bottle bounce around while hiking?
There's an elastic loop that holds the bottle in place. If you'd rather go without it, it comes off. The flat bottom keeps the bottle upright either way.

Is it waterproof?
The ECOPAK fabric sheds water, but this is an open-top pouch, so it's not a dry bag. It's built to hold a bottle, not keep rain out. For that, see our ultralight dry bags.

Where is it made?
Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. Our people cut it and sew it. Not a warehouse overseas, not a white-label pouch with a logo slapped on it.
